It was a morning to celebrate as shíshálh Nation representatives performed a blessing ceremony for the final expansion of Tsain-ko Centre before the work began on May 2.

The Pad 5 expansion will feature three to four new tenants, as well as artwork and landscape improvements along the highway section of the work site.

Frank Dixon and kwayimin Andy Johnson of shíshálh Nation met with leaders from Tsain-Ko Development Corporation and Jenkins Construction to bless the site as well as share memories of the area, speaking to the significance of the land.

Developers and nation members alike were delighted to set the final project into motion, which is expected to run until spring 2025.
