Sunshine Coast made up the team for Zone 4 – Lower Mainland (Burnaby, Delta, Ladner, New Westminster, North and West Vancouver, Pemberton, Richmond, Squamish, Sunshine Coast, Tsawwassen, Vancouver and Whistler). Five out of eight of our participants were from the Sunshine Coast.

Our 55 to 64 team included Joyce Jackson, Petra Petersen, Peter and Rowena Rogers (all from Sechelt), Steve Baker (Roberts Creek), Kim Eaton and Claudia Ferris (from Vancouver) and Tim Degenais (Richmond). Zone 4 had no participants in the 65 + group.

Tim brought home Gold in Men’s Singles, Petra and Kim brought home Silver in Mixed Doubles, Kim and Tim succeeded with Gold in Men’s Doubles and the Team (Petra, Claudia, Kim and Tim) took Gold in the Team games.

Medals were also presented to Tim and Steve for shooting 180s and Claudia for women’s high score with a 171 (all triple 19s).

The Kimberley community was very welcoming to all participants.

The Sunshine Coast has had players participating in the Dart competition for more than 10 years. With the support of Coast Darts in hosting tournaments and regular league darts, the interest continues to grow. The regular dart league is scheduled to start on Sept. 24. We have nine teams but are hoping for another team to join. If anyone is interested in forming a team (five to six players), our league will welcome you.

All results for all the games can be found at https://www.bcseniorsgames.net/results/default.aspx.
