Special O athletes take on firefighters

Thursday, Dec. 6 at Gibsons Elementary saw the Gibsons Special O Basketball team play a great game of hoops with members of the Gibsons and District Volunteer Fire Department. There were great passes, baskets and plays made on both sides. This was also the final game for coach Laurie Miller who is moving to Nanaimo. Laurie says she will always remember, “All the fun I’ve had and all the friends I have made.” She also agreed that her future plans will continue to include Special Olympics.
