Powerlifting champ now a trainer

On March 5, Lily Riggs competed at the 2019 National Powerlifting Championships in Ottawa. Riggs (pictured with her coach, Cole Thevenot of Blacksmith Fitness in Port Coquitlam) placed 7th overall in the junior 72 kg category.

On March 5, Lily Riggs competed at the 2019 National Powerlifting Championships in Ottawa. Riggs (pictured with her coach, Cole Thevenot of Blacksmith Fitness in Port Coquitlam) placed 7th overall in the junior 72 kg category. This competition was her first National competition. Riggs broke the B.C. provincial squat record for the 72 kg weight class with a squat of 140 kg (308 lbs.) Riggs also matched her previous record for total weight lifted in all three events of 365 kg (803 lbs.) at a lower body weight. Riggs has recently received her personal training certification and is now working at Lift Strength and Conditioning gym in Wilson Creek.
