Coast golf pro named to top 100

Sunshine Coast Golf & Country Club

The PGA of British Columbia unveiled its top 100 PGA professionals of 2014 last week, and Sunshine Coast Golf and Country Club pro Jim Pringle was one of the pros named.

The Professional Development Program (PDP) determines the list.

The PGA of British Columbia PDP is an annual order of merit designed to recognize members of the PGA of BC who have shown tremendous contributions to the association, the industry and, mostly importantly, themselves. Through participation in education, tournaments, buying show, awards and various forms of volunteerism, the PDP provides an equal avenue to showcase strengths of the diverse membership.

“It is always nice to be acknowledged, especially by my peers in the golf industry,” Pringle said. “I have had the good fortune of working at some great golf clubs, in particular here at the Sunshine Coast G&CC. It’s hard for me to believe I’ve been a golf professional for over 20 years. I hope I have shared some of what I have learned with the many young professionals I’ve had the pleasure of working with.”

The PGA of BC top 100 Golf Professionals Program will be recognized on an annual basis and members are encouraged to submit requests for qualifying activities. Full details of this program are available at www.pgabc.org/pdp.
