The Canucks squared off against the Sunshine Coast Blues at the sold-out fundraiser, which also marked the Sunshine Coast Minor Hockey Association’s 35th anniversary. The SCMHA plans to use the funds raised to pay for on-ice training equipment and minor hockey development programs. Brian Harbison sang the national anthem and during the period intermissions the Timbit Tykes played a short game and skaters performed from the Sunshine Coast Skating Club.
