Today I did a quick check on Gas Buddy. Regular gas was 119.9 in Chilliwack, 126.9 in North Vancouver, 139.9 in Gibsons and 129.9 in Sechelt.
The Sunshine Coast does not have the Vancouver transit tax, so historically our gas prices have been approximately three cents a litre less than Vancouver. From this we can gather that we are being gouged by local companies.
For the last couple months, however, we have been gouged less in Sechelt than Gibsons, so I have been boycotting Gibsons stations and would suggest others do the same.
