I recently opened the Gibsons Public Art Gallery’s website to see how their COVID-19 Virtual Exhibition 2020 was developing. For those who as yet have not seen or participated in it, I strongly suggest doing so. All submissions are transferred to the Sunshine Coast Museum & Archives to preserve the content for future generations.
It is a very easy process to participate in. Briefly, it is a site that is collecting documentation from citizens of the Sunshine Coast about how the current worldwide pandemic has influenced their lives.
It is a project where anyone can participate either through a video, song, poem or any of the visual arts. In fact, any creative submission would be welcome. Please understand this is not solely an art exhibition nor will the work submitted be juried for inclusion. All creative expression is honoured and respected.
