Eureka moment

Letters

Editor:

Is this a case of the FBI not sharing pertinent information with the CIA?

In a well-written report in this paper last week by Lisa McKnight-Yeates (“SCRD to consider $325K for test wells”), Lorne Lewis – SCRD director – during discussions about searching for alternative water sources suggests that it might be wise to seek non-potable water sources for watering gardens, parks, etc.

Such an idea! A revelation! Why has nobody thought of this before?

Perhaps I should introduce Lorne to Sechelt’s Mayor Milne. The mayor, as it happens, has access to two million litres of non-potable water (reclaimed) which is currently being sent out into Trail Bay every day, from our nationally acclaimed Water Resource Centre, and it’s looking for a new home.

This could be a eureka moment for the Coast. Lorne, have you never been to our Water Resource Centre? It’s state of the art and well worth a trip north.
