Suspect in bike shop theft caught on security cam

Sunshine Coast RCMP have released security camera images of the suspect in a recent break-in at a Gibsons bike shop.

As reported in the RCMP weekly update, a suspect gained entry through an unlocked rear door at Spin Cycles, on the Sunshine Coast Highway in upper Gibsons, on April 3.

According to RCMP, the male suspect in the images released April 11 was in the area at approximately 7:30 p.m. watching the business, attempting access and then retreating to watch the business again.  At 8:15 p.m. he entered the business and left a few minutes later through the front door with a bike.

Several bikes, bike equipment, tools and cash were stolen.  The stolen bikes were a lime green Giant Reign Advanced, a purple Liv Intrigue S, a Banshee custom dirt jump and a 24" white childrens’ bike.
