Sunshine Coast RCMP are urgently asking for the public's assistance in locating 12-year-old Zoe Todd.

According to police, her mother last saw Zoe in Roberts Creek Monday morning. When her mother returned late Monday afternoon, Zoe was missing. Although it appears that she left on her own, RCMP and Zoe's family have serious concerns for the current state of her mental health.

“Given the young age of this girl, and the fact that this is quite out of character for her, we are very concerned for Zoe's safety,” said Const. Harrison Mohr. “Her family is desperately hoping someone will see her, or knows where she is, and will help us to ensure her safe return.”

After meeting with Zoe's family, and due to the fact that the Lower Mainland is easily accessible from the Sunshine Coast by ferry, police believe Zoe may be in the Lower Mainland.

Zoe is described as 5'5", with a slim build, and longer bluish/purple hair. She may be wearing a black leather jacket, with plaid sleeves.

Anyone who sees or knows the whereabouts of Zoe is asked to call 9-1-1. Any other tips can also be forwarded to Sunshine Coast RCMP's non-emergency line at 604- 885-2266.
