Lehigh Materials Sechelt held its open house at the gravel mine on Sept. 14. The hugely popular annual event saw close to 1,300 people attend to explore the site on a tour bus, play in the giant sandbox, learn from various information booths, climb on the massive machinery, and enjoy a free barbecue lunch prepared by the Rotary Club. As an added feature this year, Lehigh chose to donate to the syiyaya Reconciliation Movement for every person who attended the open house.
