Kate Metcalfe of Sechelt Legion Branch 140 presents a cheque for $1,000 to Norm Blair, food security lead at Sunshine Coast Community Services Society. Last year saw more than 200 returning or new registrations at the food bank in Sechelt. The first four months of this year are indicating that there will be continued demand on its services. The food bank is open to distribute food to those in need on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and again on Wednesday evening from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The food bank is also open to receive donations Monday to Thursday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information contact Norm Blair at 604-885-5881 or email at nblair@sccss.ca
