Page Two Books co-founders and principals Trena White of Roberts Creek and Jesse Finkelstein have been named co-finalists in the 2019 RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards for the Telus Trailblazer Award.

The RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards are national business awards recognizing the country’s leading female entrepreneurs. Now in its 27th year, the program is an initiative of Women of Influence, an organization dedicated to advancing Canadian women.

From a pool of thousands of nominees, 23 finalists from coast to coast have been selected to represent seven award categories. The Telus Trailblazer Award is dedicated to female entrepreneurs who have recognized a new market, product, service, technological advancement or opportunity and led the way. White and Finkelstein together are one of three regional finalists being recognized in this category, representing the West.

Page Two Books is a hybrid publisher of non-fiction, launched in 2013.

“Its business model delivers a faster path to market than traditional publishers, offering its authors more creative control, deep engagement in their launch strategy, and stronger back-end and direct-sales revenue potential than in any other publishing model,” said a release announcing the finalists.

“To be recognized among other incredible women leaders from across this country is a true honour,” said White. “We are proud to be representing Page Two Books, a company powered by a team of women, on the national stage.”

The award winners will be announced on Nov. 20 at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto.
