Beached seal pup saved

A seal pup wound up high and dry on Davis Bay beach Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 11, and looked to be in distress. Conservation officers were called but soon after the call was made, the stranded pup had worked its way back down the beach about 20 feet and slipped into the surf, swimming off to feed.
