The family and friends of missing Port Moody woman Trina Hunt aren’t giving up on the search for their loved one.

On Wednesday, Jan. 27, a video containing photos and a description of the 48-year-old woman was posted on Facebook, with the message asking people to share it widely.

In the post by Stephanie Stella Ibbott, headlined "ACTION NEEDED," Ibbott asks people to share the video through social media and, if sharing from her profile, asks people to say how they know Trina or how the story resonates with them.

“Trina is our heart. This video contains photos that our family feels captures her personality best - bubbly, bright, welcoming, caring, thoughtful, passionate, generous & loyal. She is the best of us. Trina, we miss you. Come home,” wrote Ibbott in her post.

The video carries those same sentiments, with comments from friends during Sunday’s online vigil, including one that says, “Trina is a beautiful, charismatic and upbeat friend of mine.”

Backed by an Andy Grammar song “Don’t Give Up On Me,” the video shows several photos of Hunt, along with a description of what she was wearing when she was last seen on Jan. 18, 2021.

The description states that Hunt was wearing a black Northface puffy jacket and magenta Cloudflyer runners.

Her phone, keys and wallet were left at home.

On Monday, Port Moody police stated that the investigation was active and ongoing but that the department wouldn’t be discussing “future investigational steps.”

A Tri-City News request for PMPD to update the status of their investigation Wednesday was not answered.

However, in a Jan. 22 statement, police stated that no foul play was suspected.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Port Moody Police at 604-461-3456.
