The first Night Market of the summer season took place at Gibsons Public Market June 28 to kick off the Canada Day weekend. The vibrant event includes local merchants, artisans and food vendors, kids’ activities and crafts, kids’ movie nights with childcare by donation, live entertainment and a 50/50 draw. The Nicholas Sonntag Marine Education Centre and indoor market merchants are open late. The next Night Markets will be held Aug. 2 and Aug. 30.
