The Pender Harbour Music Society is hosting a course that will provide music creators and music entrepreneurs with a clear understanding of the various components and issues that come into play as careers unfold.

We will touch on all key areas - rights and copyright, music publishing, distribution and marketing, statutory and other royalties, role players and how they can help you, contractual concepts and more.

The course is taught by Glenn Sernyk, who was an 11-year member of the Faculty at Toronto's noted Harris Institute for the Arts prior to his moving to the Coast in March 2010.

The course consists of three, three-hour sessions at the Music School. Course dates and times are Feb. 6, 13 and 27 from 1 to 4 p.m. The cost of the course is $120. To register, call 604-885-7532 or for more information contact Glenn at gsernyk@gmail.com.
