Festival of the Performing Arts
adjudicator
Jeff Faragher will serve as adjudicator for bowed strings at this year’s Sunshine Coast Festival of the Performing Arts.

Calgary-based Jeff Faragher will serve as adjudicator for bowed strings at this year’s Sunshine Coast Festival of the Performing Arts.

With extensive training and experience as a classical cellist, Faragher studied music at the University of Alberta and McGill University and now plays regularly as a soloist with symphony orchestras throughout Western Canada and in several chamber ensembles. He is the music and artistic director of the Symphony of the Kootenays and is a highly sought after clinician and instructor.

Faragher has also focused on contemporary styles on the cello, and his unique skill set has found him touring with some of Canada’s most original groups such as the Juno nominees Sultans of String and the band Breakwater.

Faragher is scheduled to adjudicate at the first session of the festival – on Tuesday, April 14 and Wednesday, April 15 at the Highland Centre in Gibsons.

Visit www.coastfestival.com for the complete schedule and times of performance.

Please note the cancellation of the plucked strings discipline that was scheduled for May 1 at the Sunshine Coast Arts Centre.
