The Kube Gallery in Gibsons is exhibiting a series called Blue Painted Poems by Langdale artist Marlene Lowden until the end of December. Lowden added the blue connecting lines on the gallery walls between the seven pieces. “Like poets... painters take the familiar and present it to you in a way that invites you to engage,” Lowden wrote in her artist’s statement. “This body of work... reveals the paradox that most humans actually find harmony in the chaos of the natural world. And this connection must be cherished and protected.” Lowden plans to donate five per cent of the proceeds to the David Suzuki Foundation.
