For the fifth year Powell River artists load up their art and travel south to the Lower Sunshine Coast to join approximately 165 studios in the eighth annual Sunshine Coast Art Crawl, Oct. 19 to 21.

Malaspina Artists, Powell River Art Ambassadors (MAPR), represent the vital artistic community of Powell River. This group will be representing paintings in oils, acrylics and water colours, original hand-pulled prints, fine art prints, sculptural pieces, ceramics, jewelry with semi-precious, crystals and beading, natural body products, designer clothing in bamboo and wool, and handmade loomed textile arts.

The artists will welcome visitors at their venue at the Royal Canadian Legion Gibsons branch on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Sunshine Coast Art Crawl is presented by the Coast Cultural Alliance (CCA), a non-profit society. The CCA is a network of arts, cultural and heritage groups and individuals that work to enhance the economic vitality of the Sunshine Coast through cultural sector development. For more information on the CCA, visit www.suncoastarts.com.

MAPR artists extend their gratitude for the support of the Powell River community and afar, including Tourism Powell River, Malaspina Art Society, Coast Cultural Alliance, First Credit Union, and BC Ferries.
