FortisBC has once again teamed up with the Sechelt Downtown Business Association (SDBA) to draw attention to the importance of energy efficiencies to our members, our community and the environment. It is the little things, like turning down the thermostat at work and at home, that can add up to make a huge difference. Members of SDBA dialed down their thermostats to bring awareness to this important issue and encouraged customers to join in the effort to help the local chapter of the Salvation Army with donations of warm clothing. They collected over 940 jackets and sweaters to be distributed to those in need on the Sunshine Coast. Pictured, from left, are: SDBA vice president Cindy Buis, president Katherine Trueman, volunteer Fred Zalm and Salvation Army Family Services Coodinator Matthew Hardman.
