Tickets go on sale Friday, Sept. 7 for Sechelt Hospital Foundation’s inaugural Art of Healing Event to be held Saturday, Oct. 20.

Where can you enjoy a gala event, buy wonderful new artwork, bid on exciting adventure packages, have a chance to win a trip for two to Paris, plus support health care in our community, all at once? At the Sechelt Hospital Foundation’s inaugural Art of Healing Event on Saturday, Oct. 20.

Tickets go on sale Friday, Sept. 7 for this one-of-a-kind community event.

During this year’s Art Crawl from Oct. 19 to 21, participants visiting the hospital foundation’s venue at the Sunshine Coast Golf and Country Club will have an opportunity to view the work of 36 generous and talented Sunshine Coast artists who were inspired by the theme of healing. Visitors will be introduced to some of the Coast’s best artists, and at the same time learn how they can contribute to the foundation’s ongoing support of health care services, equipment, facilities, and health education, to the benefit of all Sunshine Coast residents.

The Art of Healing Event on Saturday, Oct. 20 will be a memorable evening with opportunities for a range of exciting levels of participation. Thirty-six art Collectors holding $500 tickets will select from the artworks displayed as their numbers are called. Imagine the drama as painting after painting is selected. No doubt each ticket holder will have a favourite or two, but each Collector will walk away with an original artwork valued between $500 and $5,000. The donated works can be previewed at www.sechelthospitalfoundation.org/art-of-healing-exhibit-event/#gallery.

And that’s not all. Art Supporters holding $50 tickets will have the chance to bid on various very attractive live auction packages. Details will be revealed as the event approaches.

And everyone, whether or not they plan to attend the Art of Healing Event, can purchase $20 raffle tickets for a chance to win a trip for two to Paris. The prize includes round-trip airfare courtesy of WestJet, $2,500 travel expense cash (courtesy of a generous donation given in memory of John Nicholls), and the services of a personal travel agent – courtesy of Travel One – to assist with your trip planning. Only 1,000 raffle tickets will be sold.

Paris raffle tickets are on sale now, and are available from the Sechelt Hospital Foundation Office, Sechelt Hospital Finance office or from any foundation board director (www.sechelthospitalfoundation.org/meet-our-board/).

Collector and Supporter tickets will be available via online sales only, at 8 a.m. on Sept. 7. One Collector ticket per household only, and all tickets are first-come, first-served. The event is expected to sell out very quickly.

The Sechelt Hospital Foundation extends its sincere thanks to the contributing artists and many corporate and private sponsors for this event.
