A prototype design for a tiny home by Scott Avery of Huckleberry Vardo Designs. Tiny homes, among other topics, will be discussed at the Sustainability Fest at Gibsons Library.

On Saturday, April 21, the Gibsons Public Library invites anyone interested in sustainable living to attend Sustainability Fest.

Five presenters will talk about everything from wood-burning alternatives (Nara Brenchley) and tiny homes (Pam Robertson) to water technology (Ben Resuisiak) and more.

Social justice, art and health intersect with environmental sustainability at this forum. Attendees are invited to bring their ideas and contribute to a vibrant conversation on environmental sustainability and enhancement, from the small DIY applications to the big ideas that change the way we think of our place in the world.

Consider Home Heating: Better Wood-Burning and Alternatives goes from 10:30 a.m. to noon and the Gibsons Environmental Sustainability/Enhancement Forum runs from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. To register for either of these free events, call the library at 604-886-2130.
