Mayor-elect joins Métis dancers

Mayor-elect Darnelda Siegers dropped in to visit with elders George and Terry Goulet at the weekly Métis jigging at Davis Bay Hall on Oct. 27. Siegers is holding Terry Goulet’s book The Métis in British-Columbia. George Goulet has his arm around instructor Gayle MacDonald. The jigging is open to all by donation every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Davis Bay Hall. The District of Sechelt is one of the sponsors of the classes, and organizers are grateful that the mayor elect was present at the gathering.
