The Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary executive, led by president Candice Sayre and vice-presidents Warren Jones and Jennifer Gray, kept their positions, and a new volunteer for publicity was tapped, Jacqui Jones-Cox, at the group’s annual general meeting Nov. 25.

More than 80 people attended the AGM.

Numerous awards were also presented, including to Gwen Kievel, Ian Munroe, John Grainger, Martha Ware, Wendy Hunt, Marion Chell, Betty Masson and Gail Crotreau for their outstanding service.

Reg Dickson was given a community service award for his dedication to the music program.

Dickson moved to the Coast 48 years ago and “he’s been singing and making friends with the residents of the care facilities and hospitals for the past 40 years,” said Carol Murray, past president, who introduced him. “Always there to see people through their joys and their sorrows, Reg is a wonderful asset to the life on the Sunshine Coast.”

Coast Reporter also received a community service award.
