Dozens of residents of the south end of Beach Avenue in Roberts Creek gathered May 21 for a 7 p.m. rally in support of essential service workers putting themselves on the line during the COVID-19 pandemic. Small pockets of the neighbourhood do a nightly shout-out, but a few residents – who asked to remain anonymous – thought it was time for a bigger gathering to demonstrate appreciation for all Coasters who must deal with the public every day to keep the community going.
