This spring members of the Sechelt Garden Club’s development committee, led by Penny Lyle, were busy beautifying Sechelt as they planted flowers to add to the boxwood along the first section of Cowrie Lane beside the Healthcare Auxiliary Thrift Shop. The club hopes this cheerful little walk beside the thrift shop makes people smile as they go by. The club thanks Cedardale Holdings and the businesses of the Sechelt Downtown Business Association. “We worked together,” Lyle said, “to make this a pleasant space for residents and visitors to enjoy.” From left: Noel Sheppard, Gerri Randall, Margaret Acton, Jean Conley, Edwin Leung, Pianca Leung, Penny Lyle, Pat Kolterman, Sally Markham. Front: Christine Borg, visiting from New Zealand, and Cindy Buis, SDBA. Missing from the photo are John Lyle, Lyall Markham and Charlie Borg.
