The Pender Harbour Wildlife Society presents Travels in the Antipodes, Birds and Bees and More with Michael Jackson, Lagoon Society executive director, ecologist, naturalist and photographer on Tuesday, Jan. 15 at 7 p.m. Join us for a trip ‘Down Under’ when Jackson presents photographs of fauna and flora from his recent trip. Enjoy the colours and sights of New Zealand and Australian Eastern Coast, including the Great Barrier Reef. Michael is a keen birder and wildlife photographer. Come share these wonders of the natural world. There will an update on all the news and advancements with the Pender Harbour Ocean Discovery Station at Irvines Landing. Bring a friend, drop ins are welcome, refreshments will be available. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. at the Pender Harbour Secondary School. Free. See www.penderharbourwildlife.com

Wednesday, Jan. 9, come Carpet Bowling from 1 to 3 p.m. at both the PH and Egmont Community Halls. Drop in is just $3.

Harbourside Friendship Thursday, Jan. 10 will be a sharing of holiday stories and fun and games. Doors open 10:30 a.m. at the Hall. Lunch will be served at noon. Drop in is $10.
