One Straw Society is hosting a workshop entitled Planning and Preparing Your Garden Using Perma-culture, Saturday, March 7 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at RC Elementary School. This timely session will explore techniques for planning a garden, including observation and mapping, optimal location, appropriate plants, seed starting and ethical seed distributors, and varieties of garden bed styles for different situations. BBR presents Gimme a Break at the lil’ Legion with Scotty Stylus and DeepBassPervert. A unique night of bass heavy breaks, techno, jungle and drum ‘n bass on Saturday, March 7 from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Opening the show is DJ Jason Whyte with sweet visuals by Operation Honeybee. Members $8, guests $15.
