The RCCA announced that the roof replacement for the Hall begins in the spring of 2020. All funds donated by community members will go directly towards the new roof to maintain our 85-year-old, heritage building in good condition for future generations. What an amazing effort, Roberts Creek.

If you missed it during the Art Crawl, here’s your chance. The Macgee Cloth Textile Mill will be hosting an Open House / Steampunk Tour / Holiday Shopping event every Saturday and Sunday from now until Dec. 23. Get to the Mill at 1600 Hanbury Rd. in Roberts Creek from 1 to 4 p.m. to see and feel these handcrafted eco-friendly heirloom blankets. (Santa, my bed is a king size, btw!)

One Straw Society’s Shared Plate Potluck and AGM is Tuesday, Nov. 26 at the Hall, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Your neighbours, friends, fellow gardeners and food-eaters are holding their AGM and solving the world’s problems with food, music and conversation. Find out what’s been happening, what’s coming, elect the directors, and brainstorm together. Sign up to get your membership renewed ASAP so you can vote. Bring a healthy plate to share, no foods that require a bowl, please. Their mission of education, advocacy, community connections, and access to a local and sustainable food system makes them one of our most meaningful local groups. One Straw Society is a grass roots organization that only survives through volunteers; can you help? Email info@onestraw.ca.
