Pender Harbour & Egmont: Quiz Night at The Legion returns

The No Flea Flee Market will offer new and gently used pet items. Reps from Elderdog and Thank Dog I Am Out will share great info on the fantastic work they do. Win prizes donated by Best Friends Pet Mart. This is the sixth annual fundraiser for wonderful organizations helping animals. Come join us!  

The Sunday Jam at The Clubhouse this week, 2 to 6 p.m., headlines the fabulous Peter Van Trio. Come enjoy an afternoon of great music, food, drinks, warm hospitality and tons of fun! Admission by donation. 

March 10 the Women’s Connection is pleased to present well-known Sunshine Coast artist Gigi Hoeller. Gigi will discuss her techniques and inspiration from nature, the basis for her paintings of flowers, landscapes, wood carvings, totems and, recently, beautiful silk scarves. All are on display at her gallery, Gigi Hoeller Art Studio. Doors open at 9:45 a.m. at The School of Music. Drop-in fee of $3 includes refreshments. 

Quiz Night at The Legion is back, Wednesday, March 10, 6 to 8 p.m. This event has been so popular you should get your team together, two to six people, and arrive early, $5 per person. It’s wing night, too! 

Thursday, March 12 come play Jeopardy, Har-bourside Friendship style, starting at 10:30 a.m. at The Hall. Lunch will be served at noon. Drop in $10. 

Thursday evening has more fun and games at Bingo at The Hall. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., early bird game at 6:30 p.m. 

Upcycling Expo is coming to Pender Harbour hosted by Seniors Initiative, Saturday, April 4, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Hall. Anyone interested in forming a Repair Café for this event, please contact Marlene at marlenecymbalist@gmail.com.

April Tools this year, Saturday, April 25, is accepting entries for the Boat Building Competition. Prizes are: first place $700, second $400 and third $250. Entry fee for a team of up to four is $180. Early birds entering before April 1 will pay only $160.
