Happy New Year, New Decade!
Celebrate the first weekend of 2020 with music. There are two great jams this weekend.
One is tonight, Friday, Jan. 3, Eddy Endrik’s Jam at The Legion. Come early for fish and chips. The music, singing (and maybe some dancing too) begins at 7 p.m.
The Sunday Jam at The Clubhouse is a weekly ritual, a treat for music lovers. Come enjoy the Coast’s best performers and rising stars this Sunday, Jan. 5. The food is delicious, the hospitality and service by The Clubhouse family top drawer.
Gail Girard, after 33 years with Canada Post at John Henry’s in Garden Bay, is retiring. The Pender Harbour Living Heritage Society will host a community tea in her honour at Sarah Wray Hall on Sunday, Jan. 12 between 2 and 4 p.m. The PHLHS invites the entire Garden Bay community postal codes V0N 1S0 and V0N 1S1 to thank Gail for all that she has meant to us for so many years.
Pender Harbour Seniors Initiative will bring you wonderful offering of activities this year including carpet bowling, Wednesdays, 1 to 3 p.m. at both the Egmont and Pender Harbour community halls. Drop-in $3. Chair yoga classes are Fridays 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at PH Hall. Drop-in $3.
Harbourside Friendship Thursday, Jan. 9 at 10:30 a.m. at The Hall invites you to come and share a story or gift from Christmas. Lunch will be served at noon. Drop-in $10. Those in attendance for the Thursday, Dec. 19 festive gathering were treated to a spectacular performance by the four harpists. The music and vocals were absolutely heavenly. Thank you!
