The Halfmoon Bay Branch of the Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary wish everyone a happy and healthy new year and remind you that their next meeting is Feb. 10 at Coopers Green Hall at 9:45 a.m. Visitors and new members are always welcome. 

Notice that pickleball will begin again Jan. 13 for those wanting to indulge in their Christmas dinners, knowing they can lose any extra weight after the holidays. Supported by the HBCoA, cost is $4 per session (first time is free), Mondays and Wednesdays 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Halfmoon Bay Elementary School gym, 8086 Northwood Rd.  There are three courts set up – beginner, intermediate, advanced – and all equipment is included along with instruction and coaching. Wear comfortable exercise clothing and appropriate footwear and be sure to bring water. 

Welcome Wagon will take community information and offer free gifts and local information to all newcomers to the Sunshine Coast. Welcome Wagon also delivers free information and gifts from local businesses to families with new babies.
