Harbour Highlights: Tickets on sale now for Ladies Night and Halloween Howl

Women's Connection Oct. 9 has two very creative guest speakers, Olga Bear of West Coast Artistry and Creativity and Jackie Zacharis of J Crabb Studio. 

Wednesday, Oct. 10 Diabetes Outreach representatives Dianne Paulus, RD and Jen Edwards, RN will be at the Egmont Community Hall at 10:30 a.m. Drop in, have your blood sugar level tested and receive information on guidelines, diet, and initial treatments. Lunch will be served at noon. At 1 p.m. join in the fun at the introduction to carpet bowling. 

Enjoy the music of the Inspirations at Harbourside Friendship, Thursday, Oct. 11 at the PH Hall starting at 10:30 a.m. with lunch at noon. Drop in $10. 

Grab friends and family and join SAR and PHAFC for fabulous fun at the fourth annual Cardboard Boat Building Challenge Friday, Oct. 12, 5 to 8 p.m. at the pool. All ages welcome. Regular admission. 

Friday Oct. 12, Pender Harbour Music Society's Coffee House welcomes Anna and Hordes of Ords, Caitlin Hicks with Gordon Halloran and Triumvirate. Doors open at 7 p.m.; music at 7:30 p.m. $10 suggested donation at the door. 

The tenth annual Mushroom Festival starts Oct. 12 with guest expert Robert Rogers presenting Medicinal Mushrooms, Magic Mushrooms and Mushroom Essences at the Roberts Creek Hall, at 7 p.m. Saturday is the Mushroom Show 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the PH Community Hall. 

PHAC Town Hall Meeting and AGM will take place Sunday, Oct. 14, 1 p.m. at the PH Community Hall. On the agenda, updates on the Dock Management Plan Working Group and PHAC derelict vessels project and the second annual Rotary Club/PHAC community volunteer awards.

The tenth annual Halloween Howl Dance Party and Costume Extravaganza, Saturday, Oct. 27 will be a spectacular evening featuring Russell Marsland with Peter Van R & B Express, Sully Antoynk and Tim Rannard and special guests Raven Blackwell and Jerry Cook.
