Please come out and support their fundraising sale.

The last pickleball before Christmas is Wednesday, Dec. 5 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Halfmoon Bay Elementary School on Northwood Road. Paddles and balls are supplied. New members are free the first night. Join the fun and good exercise. For more information, email [email protected], or [email protected]. Both players and spectators are invited. All skill levels are welcome. The fun will begin again on Jan. 9. Happy New Year.

On Monday, Dec. 10, the Community School and the PAC will host a Christmas Night Market from 6 to 8 p.m. in the school gym. Everyone is welcome. There will be arts and crafts, baking, gently used kids’ clothing and a kids’ corner with crafts and Lego to keep the little ones busy. Come do some local Christmas shopping while supporting the school. If you are interested in a vendor’s table, please contact Wendy at [email protected]

The community – young and not so young – is invited to the traditional Halfmoon Bay Breakfast with Santa, on Saturday, Dec. 15, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Halfmoon Bay Elementary School, hosted by Halfmoon Bay Community Association. Please bring an item for the food bank, and enjoy a sausage and pancake breakfast, with coffee, tea or juice, and get a photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus, all for $6 adults, $4 kids. Get your jingle on!

Efforts are underway to raise awareness of the wonderful local history of Halfmoon Bay and to preserve photos, documents and archives through a joint project with the Sunshine Coast Museum and Archives (SCMA) and the Sunshine Coast Community Foundation. Anyone having records or items of historical significance to Halfmoon Bay is invited to contact the SCMA at [email protected].
