This event truly has become part of the tradition in our community and is a tremendous family experience, a festive, fun and delicious way for everyone to make this worthwhile event part of your Christmas memories. It forms a treasured part of the history of Halfmoon Bay. This community has so much to offer – be part of it. We hope you will attend.

I am sure most people travelling at the northwest end of Redrooffs have admired the small chapel that is the Parish of St. Columba of Iona, at 8833 Redrooffs Road. Everyone is invited to join them to celebrate on Dec. 16 at a pre-Christmas service.

The Grade 7s at Halfmoon Bay Elementary are having a bottle drive on Saturday, Jan. 12 in the school parking lot from 8:30 to 11 a.m. to help lower the cost of books for students. Let them take care of all your holiday empties. For more information, contact Wendy at 604-551-8461.

To have your say at the Bay, contact me before 5 p.m. Monday at teknight@telus.net or 604-885-5034.
