The next Halfmoon Bay Tween Night is Movie and Popcorn Night, Friday, Nov. 30, 6:30 to 8 p.m. for students in grades 5 to 7. Drop in fee is $5. Friday, Dec. 7 will be the last Tween Night before Christmas, and it’s a Christmas party!
On Monday, Dec. 10, the Community School and the PAC will be hosting a HMB Christmas Night Market from 6 to 8 p.m. in the school gym. Everyone is welcome. There will be arts and crafts, baking, gently used kids’ clothing and a kids’ corner with crafts and Lego to keep the little ones busy. On Saturday, Dec. 15, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Halfmoon Bay Elementary School and Halfmoon Bay Community Association welcome the community to join them for Breakfast with Santa. Please bring an item for the food bank, and enjoy a sausage and pancake breakfast, with coffee, tea or juice, and get a photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus, all for $6 adults, $4 kids. Get your jingle on!
Efforts are underway to raise awareness of the wonderful local history of Halfmoon Bay and to preserve photos, documents and archives through a joint project with the Sunshine Coast Museum and Archives (SCMA) and the Sunshine Coast Community Foundation. Anyone having records or items of historical significance to Halfmoon Bay is invited to contact the SCMA at [email protected].
