The school also has a large number of fall bulbs arriving soon. If you have containers 14” in length or diameter or larger, they could use them at the school!

The school will be hosting their first Family Book Club meeting of the year in the school library at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 23 and will be discussing The Wild Robot by Peter Brown. Contact Wendy for more information or if you would like to borrow a copy of the book.

Two good news stories: Peter and Kirsten, owners of HMB General Store, welcomed a beautiful little girl into their lives. Mother and daughter are doing well.

Secondly, an anonymous benefactor went into the HMB General Store last weekend when it was busy and announced they would pay for everyone’s groceries. The bill paid was over $900. Thank you, whoever you are!

Celebrated musician Simon Paradis and friends will be performing at Coopers Green Hall Nov. 23 to promote his new CD. Simon’s talent and musical ability are at their best among friends. Tickets will be on sale soon. Tickets at HMB General Store, Welcome Woods Market and Pastimes in Sechelt.

To have your say at the Bay, contact me before 5 p.m. Monday at teknight@telus.net or 604-885-5034.
