Halfmoon Bay: Healthcare meeting Monday

The Halfmoon Bay Branch of the Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary will hold its next meeting on Monday, March 9 at Coopers Green Hall at 9:45 a.m. New members and guests are always welcome.

Tickets are now available for the Halfmoon Bay Branch of the SC Healthcare Auxiliary’s fourth annual Fabulous Bridge Luncheon, which is being held on May 7 at the Sunshine Coast Botanical Gardens, 5941 Mason Rd., West Sechelt from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a scrumptious lunch, door prizes, silent auction and baking. Tickets are $120 and can be purchased from Shelley (604-885-7338) 1shelleygrainger@gmail.com 

Pickleball is Mondays and Wednesdays, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., subject to closure due to weather conditions. Check HMBCommunity.org for updates. Cost is $4/per session (first time is free) at Halfmoon Bay Elementary School gym. There are three courts set up for beginner, intermediate, advanced, and all equipment is included along with instruction and coaching.

Over the past few years the Herring Enhancement Project on the Sunshine Coast has been supported by SCREDO. This year Halfmoon Bay Community Association will participate along with Pender Ocean Discovery Station (PODS) the Lagoon Society, and four Rotary Clubs from Pender Harbour to Gibsons. Multi-talented, song writer of the year winner and two Juno awards, Shari Ulrich performs on May 22 at Coopers Green Hall. Tickets are now on sale at Pastimes, Halfmoon Bay General Store and Welcome Woods Market. 

This sold out very quickly last May so don’t delay in getting your tickets.
