The Sargeant Bay Society will be holding their AGM May 2, 7:30 p.m. at Coopers Green Hall. They will be holding a beach clean-up this Saturday, April 27 from 1 to 3 p.m. and doing some blackberry and other maintenance starting at 9:30 a.m. for a couple of hours. If you are available for the morning or afternoon session, you can contact Rand at Sargeant Bay Society, [email protected].

Celebrated music performer Shari Ulrich comes to the Coast May 25. Her work has garnered two Juno awards, several Juno nominations, an induction into the BC Entertainment Hall of Fame, and a 2014 CFMA for English Songwriter of the Year. Ulrich will be accompanied by her daughter Julia Graff, now 28, with a Masters in Sound Recording from McGill University – herself an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, a busy recording engineer, music editor in film and television, a producer, videographer and photographer. The third person of the trio is Cindy Fairbank, also an accomplished musician on piano, accordion and vocals.

Hosted by Halfmoon Bay Community Association, they perform at Coopers Green Hall, an evening to remember. Tickets are available at Welcome Woods Market, Halfmoon Bay General Store and Pastimes in Sechelt. The concert is expected to sell out, so get your tickets now.
