Halfmoon Bay: Bridge lunch coming soon

The Halfmoon Bay Branch of the Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary is hosting another Fabulous Bridge Luncheon on April 25 at the Botanical Garden in West Sechelt.

The Halfmoon Bay Branch of the Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary is hosting another Fabulous Bridge Luncheon on April 25 at the Botanical Garden in West Sechelt. Along with bridge and a delicious lunch, there will be items for auction and door prizes. All money raised goes to supporting healthcare on the Sunshine Coast. The monthly meeting of the Halfmoon Bay Branch of the Sunshine Coast Healthcare Auxiliary is on Monday, March 11 at 9:45 a.m. at the Coopers Green Hall. Guests and visitors are always welcome. 

Rock away those winter blues at a St. Patrick’s Day Dance, with classic hits performed by the popular Playback, a dedicated group of musicians. Brighten up your weekend March 16 at Coopers Green Hall. Doors 7 p.m., music starts 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25, now on sale at Halfmoon Bay General Store, Welcome Woods Market and Pastimes in Sechelt. This first concert and dance of the year is brought to you by Halfmoon Bay Community Association (HBCA).

Drop in and play pickleball, Monday and Wednesday evenings at the Halfmoon Bay Community School gym, sponsored by HBCA. Plan to arrive by 5:30 p.m. Racquets and balls are provided. Volunteers are needed for the Travel Ambassadors. The commitment is one half-day a week on the Horseshoe Bay to Langdale ferry run. The Ambassadors greet visitors, answer their questions and hand out information about things to do and see on the Sunshine Coast. All materials and local information are provided. The program usually has about 30 members and runs from Easter to the week after Thanksgiving, sponsored by BC Ferries and Gibsons Chamber of Commerce.
