The U11 Storm played its rival ICFS Stellas and came home with a sweet victory in Vancouver last weekend.

After losing their first game of the season to the Stellas, Storm has looked forward to redeeming themselves.

Digging deep and working hard led to a great game. Goalkeeper Mary Wood gave up nothing in net with quick hands on the ball and strong drop kicks. Supported by a strong defensive line of Ella Campbell, Faye Duffy and Olivia Tulk the only Stella players able to get through this line were called offside.

Feisty wingers Teagan Sweet, Koenn Sauer, Paige Clucas and Royal Lumley played wide and ready to receive the ball from defence, calmly passing up to the forward line time and time again.

The only goal of the game came in the first half when midfielder Mya Yakasovich sent a beautiful through ball to Clara Paschkewych who calmly placed the ball in the corner of the Stellas' net.

The girls were thrilled with their win and will head to Vancouver again this weekend to play at Jericho North.
