Fall is upon us, and for the women of the Sunshine Coast Women's Hockey League (SCWHL.com), that means a long-awaited return to the ice!

With the Sunshine Coast Arena in Sechelt back up and running, the league is happy to be playing a regular schedule again, giving everyone a better opportunity to fit hockey into their busy lives.

What is the SCWHL all about? It's about girls/women (ages 13 to, well, at least 65 getting together to play organized hockey in an incredibly friendly and encouraging environment.

"I'm just having so much fun, everyone's so nice, and what I love about the league is the fact that players of all ages and all abilities get together and have a blast. Youngsters, mothers, grandmothersand everyone's so positive," are just some of the comments from new players.

The league consists of four teams with players of all skill levels, and while enrollment is up this year, the league is always looking for new players.
