At the recent provincial championships and Super Series finals, the Sunshine Coast Skating Club had three podium finishes.

Beres Clements brought home the silver medal in pre-juvenile men while Caitlin Jarvis placed third in both women's gold freeskate and gold interpretive.

As this was the Super Series Finals, the club was extremely proud to have Caitlin acquire enough points through her placements throughout the season to claim the provincial Super Series bronze trophy for gold women. This was a fabulous way to end the 2011/12 season. The 2012/13 season starts with the upcoming Victoria Day competition.

In other news, the annual general meeting and awards luncheon will take place on April 21 at 1 p.m. at the Gibsons and Area Community Centre.

The Spring Academy is running out of the Sunshine Coast Arena in Sechelt up until May 18. The club accommodates skaters from the age of three to adults. The new adult learn-to-skate is now taking names for registration. You can contact the club at [email protected] for more details.
