Swap gear for the ski season

Jackrabbits Cross-country Program
Gear swap
Swap some ski gear next weekend and help out the Jackrabbits cross country ski program.

Do you have unused outdoor gear sitting in your basement? If so, then an upcoming gear swap will help you get rid of the clutter and benefit a great youth ski program in the process.

The Dakota Ridge Jackrabbits cross-country program is holding its sixth annual Outdoor Gear Swap next Sunday, Nov. 16 from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Davis Bay Community Hall.

This is your chance to clear out that old gear and set yourself up with equipment for the upcoming season. Any outdoor-related equipment and/or clothing for adults or children is welcome. Sellers of gear may either rent a table for $5 and stay until their gear is sold for a price they determine, or donate it to the Jackrabbits who will sell it on their behalf. If you have used gear to donate you may drop it off at Alpha Adventures in the Wilson Creek Mall before Nov. 15. All proceeds go to supporting the Jackrabbits.

Organizers note there was a long line up to get in last year, so they are advising bargain hunters to come early to get the best deals.
