Midget Rapids earn home win

LACROSSE

Coach Bethia Macey’s midget Sunshine Coast Rapids lacrosse team earned a commanding 10-7 win at home last Sunday, May 25 against visiting Semiahmoo Rock.

Jacob Huson and Gabriel Chamberlain both finished with hat tricks, Liam Rankin added two goals, with Justin Macey and Keeran Peel each contributing a single to the score.

Goran Trokicic was strong in net, stopping countless shots. Max McDicken, Caymen Froude and Matt Risebrough were fierce defenders, battling time and again for the ball. Brendann Query, Carson Wayment, Wesley Knoapasek and Kalen Alain all dug in and were tough challengers to the opponents.

This is the third consecutive win for the midget team, which has moved up to B tier this year under the sound guidance of Macey and assistant coach Patrick Query.

The team is undefeated so far in the regular season.
