For the second time in three years, the Fujis knocked off The Eh Team from Vancouver in the A-division championship at the Perfect Storm slo-pitch tournament.

The third annual event was shifted to Sechelt this year for the first time, and the new venue made the tournament event better with a great concession, beer garden and festival atmosphere.

A total of 19 teams, eight from the Coast and 11 from off-Coast, took to the diamonds at Kinnikinnick Field for the three-day tournament, Aug. 3 to 5.

After the four-game round robin, teams were seeded into the A-division, B-division and C-division for the playoffs.

Earning their way into the A-side playoffs were the Fujis, Free Agents, Triple 6ers (off-Coast team), Brew Jays, Eh Team (off-Coast), Jays (off-Coast) and Dropping Insane Knowledge (off-Coast).

In the semifinal, the Eh Team beat Triple 6ers, setting up the final against the Fujis, in which the home-side prevailed 11-8.

Earning their way into the B-side playoffs were DHM Rampower (off-Coast), Sumpy Pole (Parkland, off-Coast), Where's Gary (off-Coast), Hurricanes, Raiders and Each Hit (off-Coast).

In the semifinal, the Hurricanes beat Raiders with DHM Rampower beating the Hurricanes in the championship game.

Finally in the C-division, the playoff teams were Misfits (off-Coast), Dream Team, High Ballerz, Maple Syrup Enemas (off-Coast), Shakerz (off-Coast) and Wreaks, with the Dream Team beating High Ballerz in the semifinal and winning the championship game beating the Misfits in the division final.
