Ryan Dempster's five-game winning streak was halted Tuesday night.

The Gibsons right-hander was charged with five runs and six hits in just three-plus innings in a 11-3 loss to the Anaheim Angels.

It was the second rough outing for Dempster against the Angels. The veteran has yielded 13 earned runs to Los Angeles and just 15 to the rest of the AL during his nine starts for Texas.

Dempster struggled right from the start and couldn't get on track despite the Rangers holding a 3-1 lead heading into the third. After Dempster left, the bullpen allowed three more runs in the eight-run Angels outburst.

In his last outing on Sept. 14, Dempster won 5-2 over Cleveland going seven innings allowing only two runs on seven hits with eight strikeouts.

Dempster, now with a record of 6-2, is slated to start Sunday afternoon when the Rangers finish up a weekend series in Seattle against the Mariners.
