Dart league seeks new players

The Sunshine Coast Dart League is hosting a tournament this weekend at the Gibsons Legion Hall as it prepares for its new season.

The Sunshine Coast Dart League promotes fun darts for adults and is open to new and experienced players.

Spare for a team or start your own team (minimum five players). The league meets Mondays at 7 p.m. at the Sechelt and Gibsons legions and the Gibsons Curling Club.

The Dart League is hosting a tournament at the Gibsons Legion Hall this weekend with a blind draw doubles event on Friday, Aug. 22 at 7 p.m. Saturday is the men’s doubles and women’s singles starting at 10 a.m. followed by mixed doubles at 5 p.m.

Sunday starts at 9:30 a.m. with men’s singles and women’s doubles.

Entry fee is $10 per person for the blind draw doubles and $15 per person for the rest of the events. Prize money is for the top four. This is a ranked event through Darts BC.

This tournament is a good start for the season as the dart league starts in early September.
